'Green Tie Affair'

More than 450 park enthusiasts filled the ballroom of River Oaks Country
Club Thursday for the Park People's annual "Green Tie Affair." Chairs Ray and
Peggy Bailey, left, join Meg Weekley and honoree Dick Weekley on the terrace
during the dinner reception. Dick Weekley received the Park People's highest
tribute, the George R. Brown Memorial Award, for his leadership role in the Quality
of Life Coalition. Various awards were presented including the President's
Award, which was given to Chuck Carlberg, Park People board chairman. The
presentation to Carlberg was made by board president Allyson Cook.
